Dear Friends and Neighbors,
While we continue to navigate these turbulent times together, I want to take a moment to call your attention to the important Energy and Climate bill that I supported through its development and voted affirmatively on January 5. The bill creates a roadmap for reducing carbon emissions, requires environmental impact reports to include consideration of public health and impact on environmental justice communities, and address barriers to participation for low-income individuals in the state’s solar programs.
Our communities of Needham, Dover, and Medfield and the members of Green Needham, Solarize Plus Needham, the League of Women Voters, Medfield Environmental Action, the Medfield Energy Committee, and the Dover Board of Health are my valued partners in this important work.
Today, January 14, is the final decision day on this legislation, as the Governor will sign it into law or veto it. I am strongly advocating for this law, but if vetoed, I join with Speaker Mariano, who has pledged to re-file it, and I will actively support and again vote in the affirmative.

Stay well- Stay Strong!
Yours in Service,
Denise
