I write to provide the latest update on the August 8 storms and flooding.
Roundtable with Governor Healey
Today, I joined Needham officials in a roundtable with the Healey-Driscoll Administration, including Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll, to bring attention to the needs of our community. Town leaders from other impacted communities shared their story as the state assesses and begins recovering from the storms.
Town of Needham Issues Declaration of Emergency
Today, Needham Town Manager Kate Fitzpatrick declared an emergency in light of the August 8 storms. The emergency shall remain in effect until further notice is given, pursuant to the judgment of the Town Manager, that the state of emergency no longer exists. You can read the declaration here.
