Dear Friends and Neighbors,
This session, I have sponsored H.2329, An Act relative to accelerating improvements to the local and regional public health system to address disparities in the delivery of public health services, known as SAPHE 2.0. This legislation builds on the SAPHE 1.0 legislation I sponsored that was passed into law last year. It includes provisions that will ensure every community in the Commonwealth achieves established standards for public health.
As we address the lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic, Massachusetts must continue to build upon our efforts and promote high-quality, efficient public health services in the Commonwealth. This legislation takes the next step to address our Commonwealth’s public health challenges. You can read more here.
Yours in Service,
Denise
